was bored and really did not feel like working on that exterior, so i took a break and tried to make this look npr-ish but decent too. 
any comments on the results?

the model was done in sketchup, but the render and the npr effect are from max, vray, finaltoon and photoshop.

I have found that NPR’s never lose their usefulness with some clients. They’ll pick apart a photo-real image all day long…but give them a more “sketched” look and they will accept it hands down. I think it has to do with the photo-real image giving more finality to the project as opposed to the sketched version being accepted as a “rough draft.” People are funny.
I like using Sketchup, you can bang something out pretty quick with it. I can sit my clients down and draw as they talk, they’re amazed at the speed.
