Ability to turn off background filtering

I’d like that Corona would have the ability to turn off background image filtering. Max has such option in customize>preferences>rendering but it seems it doesn’t work with Corona.

You can use CoronaBitmap with filtering disabled. Or is this something different?

It’s about image filtering, not texmap filtering.

this is not possible in the current corona architecture, the filtering is done before the sample is cast - so we have no information whether it will hit environment or not
