It’s either Chaos’ understaffed, or developement has streched so thin that not enough attention is given to the product. Speaking from the perspective of an outsider
This is definitely a development and progress that I can hardly associate with the vision of a company like Chaos. I hear ridiculous comments from users of other software, and I feel embarrassed to say that I use Vantage.
I thought something was coming next month.
It was promised by some people to be expected this month. We eagerly wait every time, but this time it took longer. Hopefully, valuable things have been done.
They created that Vantage portal for customers to put the requested resources, but they don’t update what is being planned and the launch date ends up not serving that portal at all
They’re putting all their efforts into Envision, while Vantage hasn’t been updated since November.
Cycles, Octane, and Redshift are making great strides. Vantage should be competing with them, but it seems like it’s competing with its own siblings instead. 
The D5 Render was announced at the same time as Vantage, but it is far ahead.
It seems that the advancements Vantage made were due to the acquisition of Enscape, where they copied some features. After that, it stagnated.

Screw Envision… don’t mind waiting for updates as long as they are bug free.
They launch 2.7 and HAS NO MATERIAL EDITOR!!!, are you kidding me? What a disapointed…even the new “envision” have it already…omg…

I have always beaten the same drum about the interface and material editor of Vantage, Envision has the best interface of all programs and Vantage should be similar
It’s more or less* OK with Vantage’s UI. It urgently needs more Vray’s features support, not wasting developers time in UI polishing.
*- tho this one needs to be implemented:
Support for bump mapping from procedural or procedurally modified textures.
