Hi I’m currently having the following problem. I’m trying to render an animation where I have two refractive objects on a plane with a mtlwrapper (inside a vray mat with a projected image sequence as diffuse which I want to see through the refractive objects). Because I want specific caustics pattern I use a single max spotlight to generate the caustics. Now when I go into the refractive material and untick “affect shadows” I get caustics (inside the caustics render element) but I loose the ability to see through the object. I guess it makes sense because the object is producing solid shadows now but that doesn’t seem right.

Hope somebody can help me 🙂

\*edit\* Using Vray 3.00.03

Hi,

Can you attach the scene file to check your setup?
Thank you.
