AI only after uploading the whole scene?

Hi.
I watched the video of corona 15. Do I understand correctly that in order to use AI to, for example, improve or make more realistic the look of a wall we need to upload the whole scene to the chaos cloud?

No - uploading a scene is only for the 3D streaming. AI only works on the 2D images in the VFB (for the AI Enhancer or Upscaler you need to enable the Render Element for AI before rendering but this is of course just more 2D data, but for Veras you don’t need to enable any additional render element)

So the only thing uploaded for AI enhancement, Enlarger, or Veras, is the 2D image data sent from the VFB.
