Another thing I was thinking about recently is some kind of alternative to vray’s motion blur. As it has proven that vray moblur is very good, yet it is problematic in certain areas. Thus a different kind of mostion blur might be introduced. For instance, Im wondering if it is at all possible to use vray’s technology to create its own unique multi pass moblur. That would produce similar effect to max’s native multipass blur but faster and better.
Becase we know that moblur is just a print of single image printed many times onto a single frame its more likely to look like multipass rather then solid blur like we have right now. And in situations where vray blur needs increased geometry samples for correct interpolation render times increase dramaticly that’s when alternative blur would be handy.
Just another though ![]()
like an imageBlur that support raytracing in Vray?

robert
well image blur is 2d, which is same effect can be achieved with rpf motion vector. Im talking more about multipass like effect but yet with reasonable rendering times.
try REELSMART - bluring RPF is way too slow…
reel smart is post effect Im talking about 3d effect
yup, I want this kind of fast mblur too. I like max’s multi-pass mblur - but I think it can be faked using result of only one rendered frame.
