Hello everyone,
Thank you for the information regarding AMD HIP support being planned for V-Ray for SketchUp Update 5.
I primarily use SketchUp + V-Ray professionally for architectural visualization, and I recently upgraded my GPU to an AMD Radeon RX 9070 specifically for this workflow.
Unfortunately, since HIP is not yet available in the SketchUp version of V-Ray, I am currently unable to use GPU rendering and have to rely on CPU rendering.
I completely understand that new features require development time. I was just wondering if you could share any additional information:
- Is Update 5 expected soon, or is it still several months away?
- Will there be a public beta or nightly build that includes AMD HIP support for SketchUp?
- Would it be possible to participate in testing if needed?
I would be happy to provide feedback, benchmarks, and bug reports using my RX 9070.
cause i got problem now with my work i cant do render,I must buy cpu for render?and if yes AMD Ryzen 9 9900X 4.4GHz can do with this cpu, renders and interactive renders untill my new GPU can read ?
Thank you very much for your work and for bringing AMD HIP support to the V-Ray ecosystem.
Best regards,
George
