An in depth tutorial on image sampling

Hi all,
Here’s a discussion/tutorial about image sampling which i wrote for the Visualization Insider at CGarchitect as a response to questions and comments posted about what was written in the Insider article entitled, Critical V-Ray Settings.

To view the tutorial, see week 17 of the Visualization Insider at…

Hope it’s of some use.

Hi Brian,

I’ll second that. You guys are doing great things for the community over there at CGArchitect. You have my thanks and keep it up.

I feel so special!

lol he quoted my post from the original thread in his toturial. I’m so special.

"R_cyph : I totally agree about with that as well. I was using Min 1 max 10 with the to get my glossies nice and smooth, and to give the QMC sampler enough room to sample adaptively for good results.
After reading the PDF I tried Min 4 Max 6 settings and it increased my rendertimes with no visible difference in quality "

EDIT:After reading this tutorial. I must say I stand corrected. I’m going to try a couple more tests with this new information! Thanks!
