Could you please clarify which specific Vantage settings are being reset when you modify the Revit (or 3ds Max) model during a live session? There are some known limitations related to Live Link that might be relevant—please refer to this page for details:

Additionally, it’s important to note that if an environment is set in the host application, Vantage will inherit that environment through Live Link. This means that even if changes are made inside Vantage, the environment will continue to be overridden by the host app as long as one is defined there.
