Anima 5 was compatible with Max-versions starting 2016. Now suddenly Anima 6 is only compatible starting Max2023. That’s a jump of 7 versions! So there is absolutely no way to use it in older versions?

Initially, the 3dsMax versions supported were 2026 - 2023, as it is specified in the documentation:
However, since version 6.1.0 it is possible to use Anima with older versions of 3dsMax down to 2020.
Please, keep in mind that this support is only temporal, the 3dsMax versions officially supported in the near future will be 2023 or newer only. We have decided to temporarily offer support for older versions of 3dsMax (2022, 2021 and 2020) because a considerable number of users (as yourself) have requested it. Therefore, we have created a plugin package including the necessary files to run the Anima plugin in those versions of 3dsMax that can be installed manually in devices where Anima 6.1.0 has already been installed before.
