Anima Rigged Characters sometimes doesn't recognize background

I’m facing a issue where i can’t insert an characters without it starts to float or enters the floor. I’ve create a plane where he should step, but it’s impossible to adjust the position. It’s possible to ignore make anima ignore the background collision?

Hello Wagner,

Have you imported your collision background using an FBX file? If so, there is a known issue in version 6.1.1 that may cause the background to fail as you described, depending on the setup used for creating that FBX file. A permanent fix for this issue will be included in the next Anima update.

Meanwhile, the easiest way to workaround this issue is to import the collision backgrounds using the Alive synchronization instead. Alternatively, you could also use an OBJ file instead of FBX.

I start anima and in draw mode insert the background geometry but in the draw mode there is no people library visible (cars and animation loops are for some reason), if I switch to edit mode the people library is visible but the base geometry disappears? This is after recent update so I assume I go back to a version that works properly, Anima 5 maybe? And why is the orbit command based on the origin I presume, as the base geometry is unuseable when I try and orbit and it disappears off the screen, please fix this as it is useless as it is. I cant move the base geometry as it is fixed inside a wider 3ds max model, can I reset the origin in anima whilst adding content? Just wondering if the license is not working as I can see content that I have downloaded but not the main library?

Hi martin_hulse1,

About the library, all the panels from Anima, including the asset libraries, can be managed using the Panel Toggle menu, at the top right corner of the app:

About the orbit pivot, it is stablished on the selected object. If no object is selected, then it is applied at the center of the scene. Also notice you can customize the navigation system in Anima to make it emulate other softwares like 3dsMax, Maya, Cinema4D, UE, Blender, etc.

can I reset the origin in anima whilst adding content?

When using background geometry from Alive, the center of the scene is set the centroid of the mesh vertex points and then the offset to the origin location in the source Max scene is managed by the plugin so everything is transparent to the user. We follow this workflow to avoid issues that typically happen when using scenes with origins very far away from where the geometry background actually is located.

Just wondering if the license is not working as I can see content that I have downloaded but not the main library?

If you can see the content, then the license is working and everything will work fine as soon as you toggle the visibility of the library panel using the Panel Toggle menu.

Sorry for the delay to an answer. I’m always using alive link betwen max and anima
