Animation Ghosting

Hi everybody
I have been on Corona for about a year now and have eventually started running some short animation over the weekend.
I have found that there is terrible ghosting on the frames.
Not sure where to start…

Im using standard camera , with a 90mm lense and 100mm film sensor , was using this for DOF , which I originally thought was the problem , only to find when I turn DOF off it still ghosts.
Im Using path trace then UHD.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Thanks

Sorry if its too obvious but could it be motion blur thats causing the ghosting? Also, it would be great if you could upload a frame or two so we have a better idea on how to help you

No DOF or motion blur is on

I have just attached a small crop of one of the frames…

Couple questions from me:

  1. do you use DR for rendering?
  2. do you render to image sequence or straight to video?

Im Using DR and I am rendering out .tif for image sequence

Is the camera shifted? And is the shift animated?

Good Luck

the camera has auto adjust verticals , and the target moves through the scene , initially this was setup for DOF , but now since turning DOF off I suspect it wont matter

Ok, very courageous from everybody to use this, since it provides the weirdest problems since ever in Max - regardless of the company implementing the camera :]. This should be the cause of the problem. You tested without? And is it a Corona Camera?

Good Luck

Cool , thanks..

I have left the vertical adjust off and DOF off and the tests are coming out just fine.

I am using Physical cam at the moment…

I will run the animation tonight and hopefully its right , will keep you posted

I think you can safely switch on DOF (if you like), there should be no issue. Additionally you could test if it works using a CoronaCam (there is no reason not to use it).

Good Luck
