Animation with lights switching on and off

Hi there,

I’m experiencing some problems with a walk through. Lights appear and disappear during the animation.

Plus the use of the gpu is very strange. Here is a screenshot. It goes from 0% to 100% alternatively, and for a video of 4.30 minutes it took 3 hours (resolution ultra).

Any suggestion?

On some of my larger projects I get some pop-in due to the large quantity of artificial lights being used. GPU usage looks normal to me based on what I’ve observed in the past. And I haven’t really seen it in the most recent Enscape updates.

For the performance monitor - I think it’s just showing frame transitions with minuscule blips in usage - but I’d have to verify that. By the way, I recommend you use HWMonitor to watch CPU/GPU clocks, temp, etc. Much better than Windows default. You might also be hitting some issues with max VRAM on that GPU based on the usage I see there. Maybe some memory swapping happening?

this happened to me on 4.01. I just restarted my computer and it was able to render again without the flashing lights

ok thank you both for you reply…I will try to monitor the laptop with the HWMonitor.

Regarding the comment of " issues with max VRAM"…how can I monitor it?

You can monitor GPU VRAM usage in HWMonitor, which will show it as a %. You can also check in Windows Task Manager how much is being used:
