Annoying Sibenik rendering.

Hi,

I’m desperate,
I don’t know what’s wrong, I tried all…
But I can’t get any decent Sibenik rendering.
All what I get is what u see below, instead of something more natural (bottom).
My settings are the same as the tut on vay.info.

What’s wrong ??

MMMMM…your missing something surely… sky light ? bounces ?photon bounces ?, photon density ?..mmmm…not sure

The good result was achieved using irradiance map.

I tried that… no success

it looks like to me you dont have enough light coming into the building and bouncing around …and also what colour map filter are you using ?

another thought … have you got glass in the windows ???
if you have you should hide it when doing your Imap calcs..
get that light coming in

no glass for sibenik 8)

post your scene…
i’ll have a look at your settings

Thansk,

my webby don’t work,
see ur emails.

hi
It was as i thought… your light settings are way to low … 1.5… i turned it up to 10 …turned overshoot of cos that tends to wash everything out, turns my sky light to 10…

Thanks a lot !!

I noticed there is a big difference when using standard vs Vray material !
Thats all why…

Here are two render with exactly the same GI settings,
one with standard mat, one with vray(bottom).

check this too

erm…

look on top, i posted the 3rd pict of your link

imo you can use dark multiplier of 3 to even 4 for indoor scenes, and set the send and recieve GI to a bit more than 1 (1.1 or 1.2), this changes lighting dramatically, without using very high sky multipliers. These cause very bright spots on surfaces that get hit by the first rays of the sky (like openings of the windows and parts of floor, walls.

ok, i’ll try.

BTW, this week i’m doing the first professionnal architectural rendering 8)
I’ll be able to buy Vray adv sooon

Don’t you need to buy vray advanced first BEFORE your first professional rendering?

i would keep things like that to yourself Yadla

You can get close to a “profesional” rendering without V-Ray advanced  , notice his renders are in the demo, why are we so quick to jump on people lately?

Ok, I forgot a smily

(imo a professional image is one you get paid for, not one that looks professional)

cheers,

flipside

I get it now! my humor can get burried pretty deep on Monday afternoon…

Mine too at monday (no actually tuesday!) at 2a.m…
