These two RAM 128gb kits in 1st link are around 600 eur more than the Newegg counterpart in the last link below (which I just found there now).
The AMD RAM modules suitable (on QVL) for Threadripper and the Zenith Extreme motherboard have the suffix GTZRX (NOTE The X donates AMD platform).

I’ve only just found that item on Newegg there so will prob go with that in the next week unless a closer online retailer like overclockers or scan etc have it stocked.

Too bad that Ryzen/Threadripper do actually benefit from it… but it almost makes Intel x299 a better platform since you can buy…cheaper memory to get the same actual performance : /.
I bought all my ECC DDR3 memory for 200 euros for 128gb kit, ECC DDR4 for 1200 euros (currently inflated to 1600+) for 128gb kit but this is…just wow.

Those two above are more or less identical with CL 14 for both, only AMD is 2,933 and Intel example is 3000 Hz.
The Intel one including duty and conversion lands at €1,800. But if I was going Intel I wouldn’t be going for the higher clocked stuff so I would be in your 1,600 area for DDR4.
Looks like I’m going to have to swallow this bitter pill for the RAM speed thirsty TR.

I bought a Vega card for my brother and I had to use French LDLC.
Now that was fun and tons of google traslate. They would even answer my English emails in French during some back-n-forth communication :- D !

Gonna get the CL14 2933 kit. It’ll future proof my system for a few years anyway. I cannot think of any crazy situation where I’ll exceed that.
It says on the q.skill website that it’s on the QVL for TR and the board I’m getting so that’s some serious high spec RAM.
