Re: Apartments complex

Great renders. Interesting design.

Few crits are that I think the images need a bit of
brightening. Maybe give the images some warmth.
At the moment they look a bit gloomy. increase the sun
and produce some more shadows. In the 3rd image there doesn’t seem
to be any.

I feel in Arch viz you want to look at an image and want to project
yourself into the scene. I don’t really in these images.
BUT I COULD BE. Change the mood invite me in.

Not sure about the trees (clipmaps/PNG) they look alittle flat, but
you have nailed the gardens

With a few minor changes I feel you could have a superb result.
You are so so close.

Re: Apartments complex

On the second image, the car on the left looks weird…right?

Re: Apartments complex

for the most part the materials and camera shots are great i just think the major problem is the illumination of the scene some contrast would be good with a bit of sun light or the contrast of the warm interior with a cool dusk environment would be great but you really are very close to producing some grate images. the tree clip maps look a bit flat as well and as was said b4 nice garden. good luck and keep posting.

Re: Apartments complex

Thank you for all your comments, the unfortunately the client want to be like that without so much brightness he want a cloudy day and dark afternoon, so I do as much as I can with this requirements. I render also daylight and night but I the client only let me release this jobs for now. I will post daytime render brightness later…

Thanks again for all the comments. (This is my first render)

Re: Apartments complex

Kelper,

I actually like the overcast lighting. However, I’m sure there are ways you can still brighten the image without affecting the appearence of a mid-day overcast lighting solution.

Overall awesome!

Re: Apartments complex

I agree. What I often do is have a look at Architectural photography and copy the tones. I also like the overcast look, but think your images need some high lights. Its just a bit murky and gloomy. The only reason Im pushing these points is because I really think you have a winner on your hands.

Since this is only your 2nd exterior render, I cant wait to see what you are going to produce in the future.

Re: Apartments complex

Thank you for all the great comments!!!

Re: Apartments complex

Kelper,

Could you also share your .visopt with us? I work in Seattle and I have been working on an overcast lighting solution but I have not found anything that looks quite like this yet.

Much appreciated

Re: Apartments complex

I really like the ambiance you are creating. It is a less “Happy” colourfull setting. I hope you know what i mean. Some of mine renders are very colourful sometimes to colourful. This is something i am experiencing during the new version. I really need to improve my Photoshop skills, because this really looks amazing. I suppose you use photoshop for the ambiance?

Re: Apartments complex

Hi, Thank you for your comments I spend almost hours in test try to capture the cloudy day as the owner of the basic design try to reflect. Sunny day it’s easy, night a little more complicated but easy to do, Afternoon and cloudy day very hard. I usa PS for each plant that I aply and create a light effect in each so the plants doesn’t look shinny or from daylight when I need a cloudy plants without reflect.

Thanks again for your comments. I use PS in the last 15 years and I recommended to use for a touch for the renders.
