Appartment complex in Germany

Not really a showcase yet. Just finished a videorender and I want to know why it took me 20 hours to render.
Guess I did something wrong with my settings. I don’t know if the following settings ar also used for the video :

  • general tab > rendering quality : ultra

  • capture tab > resolution : 4K

video compression quality : email

The .skp filesize is 100MB, but the scene is FULL of proxys (approx. 1,2GB!)

Video compression has nothing to do with the render duration, it just makes the filesize smaller but at a worse quality. Ultra means that it’s higher than you would usually need and has no visual impact. High is enough for most usage and is much faster. Which version did you use? Also: Did you tune down the sun light intensity? Then, the scene becomes dominated by skylight which makes everything blue-ish.

Which hardware are you running this on? 4k rendering resolution is quite demanding for videos and might not always make sense, since most people still have only 1080p monitors.

Before I rendered, I thought the 4K was only for the screenshots
Didn’t know it was for the video too. So that explains a lot

Question (and maybe a stupid one) : Does the amount of proxys influence the rendertime ?

For the video rendering, my suggestion is 720P, 60 FPS, MAX quality.

Awesome render Vendel3D.

I’m are you using Revit? Where do you find all the nice vegetation, trees, flowers etc?

I’m using Sketchup. > https://www.sketchuptexture.com/search/label/SKETCHUP%203D%20MODEL%20VEGETATION

Here a complete panotour of the building, every room filled.

That panotour is staffed with panos! I like it!

Vendel3D, congrats for that panos tour, cna you tell us how do you make it? i mean, making that online pano tour after enscape, i think is a brilliant way to show clients

https://krpano.com/ I bought myself a license a long time ago (thought it was 125$, one time only).

Thank you man, i think your showroom is brilliant
