Architecture type/style?

Hello!
I’m working on personal project for my portfolio. I found drawings on some freelance website and decided to recreate this project in 3d.
But I have lack of ideas about environment - should it be tropical or European/North USA?
The cottage has flat roof and roof terrace, so I presume it must be built in warm tropical or sub-tropical areas?
Should I create a gutters for this type of buildings?

Seems like a type you’d find in New Mexico/Arizona in the US, or close to/in Mexico/South America. You could avoid gutters and just use scuppers with downspouts.
