Anyone familiar with this script, or something similar? I want to be able to archive a scene, but have all of the materials neatly contained in a single folder within the zip file.
Doesn’t MAX’s default do that?
In Max utilities there is a resource collector. It will let you copy/move assets and update the path in the scene. Then save as > archive
I didn’t know about the resource collector. Thanks for that. The script that I found (above) collects the files into a “maps” folder and then relinks to that. Pretty slick. But my client insists that it be called “assets” ![]()
![]()
resource collector is shit and can crash on big scenes. pixamoons asset tracking does it.
We find it pretty much essential.
Totally agree on Pixamoons scripts
