Are mpeg's PAL & NTSC? help

Hello all. I can’t believe I don’t know the answer to this, but it never came up before. I am doing an animation for a client who is going to play it back through her laptop into a projector in Orlando, Florida. Does this mean that the animation can be any frame rate I want (i.e.: 25 or 30) or does the fact that she’s using a projector in the States limit me to 30 FPS. I’m 90% sure that the animation can be 25FPS and PAL res (which is what I have done it in) since it’s just the computer playing it, but I need to be sure.
Any ideas?

Regards,

Marc

As long as a computer is playing it, your mpeg should be fine at any res/frame rate.

I wouldn’t think the prohjector has much to do w/ the frame rate or video type…as long as she can play it on her comp it will play through the projector…at least that’s my thought.

paul.

Yeah, that’s what i thought. Thanks a lot guys.
