I just wanted to share the latest preview render from the project i’m working on at the moment. A lot of work is still to be done, but Enscape is once again proving itself to be an invaluable tool in the process!! … and the material editor is a gift from heaven  hoping for even more pro features in the future!

Best regards

Lasse

Looking quite awesome! Great work!

Really nice work! Interesting design as well.

Great stuff Herbo!

Very well done! Nice lighting.

did you use post-production software?

Thanks everyone

Only a tiny bit of color correction is done in post (photoshop)… the whole scene is 3d, and rendered from enscape.

revit > ensacpe?

im curious how you got the wood grain patterning to randomize as well as the concrete material reflections to catch some light and the others to maintain a rough surface?

It’s modelled and setup in skechup

The randomization of textures can be done i many ways in sketchup. you can manually adjust the textures, or you can use a plugin to do it automaticly :-)… i use the later

The reflections in the concrete is done via a specular map (a black and white texture indicating different roughness areas of a material), plugged into the material in the brand new material editor :-)… add a little bumb as well, and you are good to go

Wow. This looks awesome, I’m wondering how Revit could approach this level of realism though as it doesn’t have a Specular map (I can’t find one) and a plug-in for randomising seamless textures etc…

Material-wise, everything in this image is possible within Revit. You can also assign glossiness maps in Revit. Have a look at this one:

Or heres a detailed yet slightly outdated tutorial: https://youtu.be/oo0k1J9DcZg

Thomas,

good tutorial, and I see the glossiness map is the specular map!

Thanks again.

Yes, this enscape tutorial was needed by revit years ago, I never knew you could use a specular map in revit until I watch this. my materials look so much better now!!!
