"AUTO EXPOSURE NOT COMPUTED" - yes you bloody well just did.

SO many times it happens that I render and want to send the auto exposure to the camera, but I can’t, because it says it isn’t computed… but I just did.

It seems to be random.

Can you make this more robust please because I always have to restart Max and render again.

Make sure the Auto Exposure/WB checkboxes are active prior rendering. Secondary GI engine should be LC. Do send a video reproduction if it happens again.

Yeah it’s set up correctly, it just breaks sometimes.

I’ll try to capture a video next time it happens.

Right, so, I just captured a pointlessly large 11 minute video showing this problem off - but it really doesn’t need one and the problem is as I explained:

Sometimes when I render- and auto exposure is turned on - the option transfer to camera is greyed out, because is says “auto exposure not computed”

I am using this feature correctly because I use this feature all the time, and after restarting Max, and re-rendering, it works correctly.

The only new detail I can add after recording the video, is that after rendering the button in the render settings briefly is no longer greyed out out, and it doesn’t say “not computed” - but then the button immediately reverts to grey again after a moment.

So this could actually be a UI error.

I will open a ticket and include a link to my video… it has personal info so I don’t want to share it here.

Thanks a lot for taking the time to report this, I will make sure this is fixed if we reproduce on our side

Best,
Muhammed
