Recently maybe in the last few updates of Corona for C4d, i’ve noticed that my renders are saved to whatever path i have set up in the render settings.
When i now use IR, this file path gets overwritten after each ‘stop’ or cancel of the IR VFB.
This can cause issues when i’ve done a final render, then go back to change something in my model. Any IR work i do or patches to images, overwrites the Final Render if the Render Settings are checked to save a file. So now, any time i have done a final render, i now have to make sure i remember to switch off save to stop it from overwriting.
I’ve checked the Corona preferences and ensured autosave is turned off. but it still does it. Am i missing something or is this a bug issue?
Hi Marcin, i’ve now tested the preview build. This seems to have a different issue. Yes it doesn’t save after the IR being stopped, but it has another issue whereby it crashes cinema. I did the following test.
Set up a scene with a cube and basic lighting.
Setup save paths for regular image and Multipass image to the desktop
3.Rendered the scene (both paths saved to desktop as expected)
4.left the save checkbox checked and pressed IR. This crashes cinema.
A Further test i did was reopening the test scene and trying IR. At that point it works fine (also doesn’t overwrite the save path files).
So the current Error above has gone but been replace with a crash. Hope that helps.
