Corona Corona for 3ds Max Issues

Hi Guys,

I just installed the free version of Corona Alpha 6.1 for my 3ds Max Design 2014.
Installation went well, but as soon as I am trying to start 3ds max, this error message shows up (see attachment screen1.jpg)
Let me try to translate:
The entry point of the procedure “?avgSunColor[…]” was not found in the “Corona_Release.dll”.

After I click OK, this shows up a several times: (see attachment screen2.jpg)
“Error code 127 - The given procedure wasn’t found”.

Then, 3ds max starts, and as soon as I try to render, the “tools” / color mapping is not available in the vfb. (see attachment screen3.jpg)

I apologize if this is a duplicate but I couldn’t find anything via search.

Have I done anything wrong? Installation seemed to be OK, and previous versions of Corona worked flawlessly on this computer. Problem persisted also after restart.

What version did you use before installing A6? Did you choose clean installation option?

Maybe try to open 3ds max plugin folder and see if there’s duplicate Corona201x.dlr and CoronaUtils201x.dlt files.

As for Color mapping panel, it’s not supposed to be in A6 AFAIR.

Hi, use the uninstaller ( https://coronarenderer.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/5000534885 ) and then try installing A6.1 again. This error usually pops up when you have wrong files installed - for example for different version of 3ds Max or when using files from different versions of Corona at the same time.

yes, this is definitely mis-matched plugin versions.

the color mapping tab is not present in A6, only in 1.0

Oh, well, now i appreciate my educational licence that I use at home even more :smiley:
the color mapping totally rocks

I used the “clean up previous versions” checkbox though.
But I guess I can help myself from here on.
