Backburner Problem

Hi,

I have a huge problem with backburner and I am hoping someone can help me.

I tried to upgrade to Max 2014 but when I try to submit a job to backburner, I get: ‘Manager does not have enough disk space to receive job’.
I have no idea what that is about since the PC has plenty of free disk space.

What is worse: I tried to save the scene back to Max 2013 but now backburner is not working there anymore either.
I get the message: ‘Cannot network render. Backburner not found or not installed’

I tried reinstalling backburner several times but to no avail.

Any help greatly appreciated.

you have to uninstall backburner before you re-install it

maybe its a permissions issue? Maybe for some reason the folder is read only or the user don’t have access to it?

No, I am logged in as administrator and have read and write access to everything.

I have uninstalled and re-installed backburner several times.

What bugs me most that there seem to be two seperate issues.

In Max 2013 I can’t even get to the Network Job Assignment window anymore. I checked the system environment path also and that is correct.

We got assigned ipv6 IPs today and I think somehow my trouble is related to that. Just what do I do? No one else had this?

Ok, I solved it.

The culprit was indeed the IPv6 address.

I disabled it. So now we are back on IPv4 and backburner works fine for both Max versions.

Glad to hear you sorted it out and than you very much for the feedback.

For anyone else who’s running into this “Manager does not have enough disk space to receive job” issue. I was able to solve this by renaming my computer and removing any special characters (meaning, no hypens). Backburner does not like hyphens in computer names apparently. Hope this saves you from some headache
