Ive just sent a large max job to backburner via vpn. It takes about half hour. The same scene has a number of cameras in it. I was hoping to just be able to clone the job, rename it and choose the new camera and frame range and then go…but I cant seem to rename the job…is this possible ? Also, is it possible to change the output filename as well as the path from within backburner ? Ive looked everywhere and cant find how to…
Renaming isnt possible. Well prolly would be through the telnet interface…but that’s a MAJOR hassle.
As for output paths. Yes you can for standard max file outputs. not for VRayVFBs save to vrimg/exr outputs.
To change the outputs rightclick → Edit Settings and it should show all standard outs including renderelements.

Cheers…yeah I found the output path and name…so thats cool. Doesnt look like you could change the output filetype if you wanted to either though.
Also, its funny how when sending jobs to backburner its so anal about a job being sent as one that is already in the job list…and yet it doesnt seem to have a problem with 2 jobs (one thats cloned) with the same name in the render que..
