Hi to all of you
I am facing a Problem while using Vectorworks, together with Enscape:
When I open a project from Vectorworks in Enscape, I often run into an issue where custom curves drawn in Vectorworks (extruded circle) appear faceted or blocky.
So far, I haven’t found an ideal solution. Setting the 3D conversion resolution in Vectorworks to “Very High” is the most commonly suggested fix, but unfortunately, it doesn’t work in my case. A workaround that does work is drawing a regular polygon with 120 or more segments instead of a circle, but that isn’t ideal for mapping textures properly.
It looks like this is primarily a background communication issue between Vectorworks and Enscape rather than a mistake in how I set up my models or workflows. Since the software currently limits how geometry data and OpenGL settings are passed through the bridge, it clearly needs to be resolved by the software developers on both sides.
I really hope a solution for this issue can be found very soon. Since we started using Enscape, our rendering output in the company has increased significantly, which is fantastic! We genuinely love using the tool and want to rely on it heavily in the future—so getting this problem with curved geometry fixed would be a game-changer for us.
Thank you for your help in advance! ![]()
