Bake Camera Path?

Not Corona related, I’m sorry…

But a 3dsmax animation query for you smart folks…

I have a baked animation of a car. I have a camera and target that are linked (via the “Select and Link”) tool to the baked car. So car moves = camera follows.

I’m wondering if I can somehow also ‘bake’ in this camera movement? I want to use almost the exact same camera movement but a bit more gentle, smoothed (or just be able to edit the camera movement a bit so it doesn’t follow the car so harshly).

Any tips much appreciated!

Well better late than never? You probably already solved it, but for anyone else that stumbles upon it.

1.Create a dummy and align to your camera
2. link dummy to your car
3. Click on your camera, go to animation menu > constraints > position constraint the camera on the dummy
4. still with camera selected go to your Motion panel >motion Paths selection level >, and click the Collapse transform button

Excellent!

Thanks.

Hehe, yep this project is all wrapped up but good to know I can do this in the future.

I guess the next step would be to smooth the curves in the Curve Editor?

Yah you can edit the motion paths/keyframes however you wish after the fact.
