Is this a known issue or am I not doing something correctly? When I batch render the view renders without the section on, if I render on its own it renders correctly.
I should mention that the scene before this has a section on and it does render correctly.

Could you please make sure that the section cuts are enabled for each specific scene? Note that V-Ray respects the state of the section plane/s for individual scenes. You can monitor the state through the V-Ray Asset Editor > Geometry tab as you cycle through the scenes.
Additionally, please be informed that you would have to create new section planes for each scene if a different position is required.
Confirmed that the sections are setup correctly. They do no render enabled with batch rendering.
