Re: Bathroom
I think you should leave the sun multiplier at 1
and change the iso value to 800, and shutter speed to 60 or something.. To add more light to the scene..
Or should it look like the lights are off?
Just try different settings until you have the right result.
And i don’t know if you use a lot of displacement maps?
Those usually takes a lot of extra time to render.
Re: Bathroom
Thanks I will try.
About lighsts, you mean rectangular, omni..?
Re: Bathroom
I don’t know how SU works with lights.. In rhino rectangular lights are fine.
I only know that the iso value and shutter speed are very important for the brightness of your rendering.
Re: Bathroom
Theare is “iso value” and “shutter speed” settings ? :-X
Re: Bathroom
Theare is “iso value” and “shutter speed” settings ?
If you use physical camera, than yes.
In camera menu.
Re: Bathroom
is your global ilumination on?
Re: Bathroom
Yes
Re: Bathroom
Thanks 40th.
Now I make some changges:
I create to rectangular lights (mul.-15) in outside, iso value try 650, shutter speed 50 and try to set light cache in primary engine. And make windows higher
Re: Bathroom
I try to explode and group again bath and toilet, but it dont help, wats wrong? In sketchup it looks fine.
Re: Bathroom
How many sudivs did you set for the light cache ? I think this link will help you: Chaos: Industry-leading design and visualization software
It’s explained on Vray for 3ds max but principally it’s is the same.
Re: Bathroom
well i think you maybe try with prefilter in light cache
Re: Bathroom
Thanks I dont think about that before ???
Now I’m try to set Subdivs-1000 and Sample size 0,01 it helps
Now I have a problem with light reflection on the ground, how to make it lower ?
Re: Bathroom
i see you are having some trouble with light, is it a closed room? look i will upload the visopt of the chairs render i managed to get good quality shadows and no artifacts on the light, a bit slow tough.
http://rapidshare.com/files/248139970/Nektar\_Lounge\_HQ.visopt
i created that visopt for this render
http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg239/nektares/PIC_JC6FLR.jpg
now if you want it to have daylight and not controlled rectangular light i recommend you to use vray sun, that way with very little effort you can get light to reach anywhere
in this bathroom i used GI with vray sun, if you wish i can share with you or anyone interested my visopts. feel free to contact me via PM.
Re: Bathroom
Really thanks Nektares I will try it later, now is very early morning in Lithuania and I have to go sleep ![]()
Heare I make another test. I dont find a nice wood texture for catchall.
Re: Bathroom
That looks a lot better.
Please write the actions that you did to improve image’s quality. (so other beginners could benefit from your test).
Re: Bathroom
I back to “Irradiance Map” at primary engine, leave sky on GI and use physical camera, correct shutter speed to 60, ISO to 800.
I work a lot with tile textures in photoshop, when i found them it looks like what: http://www.eurotopas.lt/popup.php?image=http://www.eurotopas.lt/page/upload/modtext_45dab2e2a9942_b2.jpg&title=EuroTopas%20-%20Plytel%C4%97s,%20PVC%20dangos,%20parketas,%20kilimai,%20santechnika,%20liejamos%20dangos
Now I’m work with some materials and making more details
Re: Bathroom
Theare was some problems, one that catchall texture gone, but render procces takes all night so I show my last render. Please coment
Re: Bathroom
Do you have the clamp output box checked in the colo mapping tab? It looks as thought where the rug is, this would help eliminate the white dots there.

Re: Bathroom
