Hi !
Is it an HDRI for the background ? If yes how did you make the bottom part ? I’m trying to get the way juraj Talcik made his HDRI for his Iceland house (I ask him the question but he didn’t answer)…
Thanks, and good beginning for your work ![]()

hi
CG-Source HDRI , i think name of hdri is icelandic
Are you using just the HDRI without any adjustment? I mean without tweaking the output for example.
hi cyrus…
no tweaking …
Where ? [to be honest I only manage to answer on FB, private messaging on all other platforms go around me]
Because I said in that thread it’s simple CG-Source, you can buy it for 20 euros and keep adjusting in PS. The Daylight version is fully spherical.
Adding bottom is easy too, you just need either CS6-pro or CC to edit 32bit files.
Hi Juraj I knew you would react to this topic … I forgot to mention that it must be due to lack of time and suddenly I was a little frustrated not knowing how to execute such a document.
And I confess I do not know how to do all this in Photoshop. I’ll try tomorrow with these explanations!
Thank you for your answer
Just basic masking and some blends. There is not a lot of tonal range in ground, so it doesn’t matter if that comes from regular source, you only need the range in the sky. But I blended two 32bit files anyway.
Hello man, try to change the gamma of the hdri, if you are able to use vray hdri slot change the output gamma to .75 this will increase the brightness of you render and decrease of the light in the dark areas.
On top as usual a pass of AO will help a lot.
This might be not the case in your problems ( gamma issue for sure)…but i would like to make a suggestion on the cropping of the image. Try to adjust your framing cause it is too frustrating.
But yes i would also say that your image looks washed out!
thks guys ![]()
gona change gama hdri to 0.75 and color mat to 200 ![]()
I strongly suggest to fix hdri by painting sun in photoshop, instead of changing gamma. You’ll get much superior results this way.
Will that work with the standard bitmap module?
know this technique as Grant W. lesson 6
but in photoshop (EXR), which value must be the sun?
I suppose the sky hdri is less than the sun, to see ..
were gona test and try …
thks a lot

It’s quite obvious that your sun is way too big. Look at the shadows, it’s like there’s giant softbox outside a windows
You won’t be able to correct this HDRi to sun, it doesn’t have sun :- ) if you boost the intensity of bright parts (sun behind clouds) it might look bit awkward.
Since I used the same HDRi, I added CoronaSun with low-intensity to some interiors as well. It plays nicely together imho, no reason why to avoid it.
