Is there a way to make an object look bright, but in a way that it does not distirb the lights in the scene ?
I would like to make a large bar-table to be lightning, but the light from the bar should not actually ligtup the scene.
Thanks

Re: Bright object
maybe you could try adding an ‘emissive layer’ to your bar material, which will give you the choice of different levels of illumination.
Just select the material in the vray material editor, right click on the ‘emmissive layers’ and choose add layer.

Re: Bright object
Hi David
Thanks for your input.
I was using a emissive layer, but I was told that one should not use emissive layers to lightup a scene - so I got nervous ![]()
But it should be ok if it’s not the only light in the scene…
Thanks
