hi
each bucket represents your cpu … 1 cpu = 1 bucket
when rendering in bucket mode it alow’s you to render a small part of your scene in a bucket or region, which is quicker than rendering the complete scene time after time.
i wouldnt render your final image in bucket mode because sometimes it produce’s line between bucket’s. i think this problem has be solved, but i havent tryed it.
hope this answers your question.

I think the problem of lines between buckets has not been solved yet…
Does anybody knows a trick to use bucket for final images?
Use higher quality irradiance settings…
higher settings doesnt fix it
An answer for this question is what I was trying to get in my post (http://www.chaoticdimension.com/forums/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=4381)
I read lots of stuff on the forum but I cannot find a straight answer if either bucket mode works well now or not, or if it was a problem of the past or it’s stil is a problem with the latest version. Coul anybody please clarify this mistery?
I only have one system at work, and the only way for my to test bucket mode is using the service of the renderfarm. It’s a pretty expensive place to test things out
.
I’d appreciate any feedback.
