Bump map preview for procedural textures and edit UV placement

Hello,
I was wondering if it is possible to implement a way to preview textures in viewport to preview bump map placement when ‘texture placement’ ‘Repeat U/V’ edited? in this screenshot the infinity wall is using bitmap ‘/materials\Liquid\maps\Water_A_Height_01.jpg’ from preset material, ‘Waves_A_01_200cm’. I’m editing uv’s to give a waterfall effect and would love to be able to preview in viewport with having to trial and error renders. The pool water surface with texture helper showing is ‘Waves_Proc_01’ preset using ‘Noise A’…again, would be great to be able to preview this in viewport.

Thanks yall!

Unfortunately, the SketchUp viewport cannot preview V-Ray procedural textures. To accommodate proper mapping functionality a placeholder texture (texture helper) is automatically assigned.
You can, however, assign any Bitmap texture as viewport texture by activating the “eye” button below its preview window.

Additionally, you can use viewport-render a specified region while editing your scene: Chaos Docs
Keep in mind the overlay opacity can be easily adjusted using ‘Ctrl’ plus ‘+’ or ‘-’ .

Kind regards,
