I’m regularly using the Camera Calibrator Tag with great success. For some reason, this particular background photo doesn’t work. The camera won’t calibrate properly, as you can see below. Anyone wants to give it a try? Thanks.
Ugh, I both really like the Camera Calibrator and at the same time really dislike it. Sometimes it just magically works and other times you move a vanishing line 1px too far and nothing makes sense anymore and the camera has a focal lenght of 0.00001.
I would suggest maybe trying out using the grids in this scene as well and also try and have as many calibrating elements in as possible.

Given that Slovenia is rather small (but lovely if you’re not into big city livin’) it is quite nice seeing how he’s putting it on the map for people. Need to pay more attention to Tour de France, rather exhausted from all the soccer + basketball craze lately
Also sorry for not being more helpful than what I said in my OG reply. The calibrator is such a mystery box of its own to me … Its magic when it works and its grey hair when it doesn’t.

Do you know if it’s possible to calibrate a camera with a video, instead of a photo? I have short video and I would like to add a 3D object to it.
It is possible depending on the camera footage, take a look at the documentation for the Motion Tracker feature.
