This a plain Vray render no photoshop tricks.
The first image is a photo then a 3d model has been camera matched.
The image has been used as a standart max enviroment map.
There is a single vray light.
Global illumunation is on.
Here is the question ?
How on earth those plants appear in front of the model .
I have seen the max file.
No post editing nor matte/shadow texture.
Skylight is off in enviroment yet the vray light is set as a skylight portal.
And this is the outcome.
Even the person who rendered the scene doesnt know how the plants is in front of the model.
He claims it is an undocumented vray feature or a bug.
Who knows
It is real, If a screen mapped image is used for GI and reflection it will “project” itself onto the scene, if you look closely the old house is being projected onto the new one, it isn’t too obvious though. And the plants are semi transparent.
