Can Enscape be a Solution for MAC Users?

I just figured out that MAC users lack several features compared to PC users. For me the missing Material Library is a real stumbling block. However, I am new to the software and still wonder if there is a workaround.

Seeking to learn photorealistic rendering and decided Enscape was the best path, I still can not figure out if my struggle with Enscape is my lack of experience or its because I’m a MAC user. I see many tutorials adding textures I need (stucco, split face block…etc.) but I don’t have access to them. Do I import what I can find into sketchup and modify in Enscape or am I wasting my time? I paid for a fixed seat assuming I lacked these features because I was in trial mode. If I can still accomplish these results despite the lack of a Material Library I’m willing to keep trying but it’s consuming a LOT of time for what may be fools gold.

Hello @robertdolson

Some features present in Windows version are not present in Mac version yet, including Material Library. Very soon update for the Mac version will be released which adds some missing features. Many months have passed since the previous Mac release due to technical reasons we have encountered. After the upcoming update we will start publishing further updates in a much shorter interval, converging to feature parity with Windows version quickly.

Since there is no material library in Mac version yet, you can only create and adjust your own materials manually.

SketchUp has been around for 20+ years and there’s no shortage of materials before Enscape. Try https://www.sketchuptextureclub.com/
