Hi!
I need to render a scene that has a dappled light effect projected onto the floor, walls, and some furniture objects. I know I could probable create the effect in Photoshop. But I would like to know if there is a way to create this effect in Enscape. Ideally, I would like the projected effect on different surfaces to look as accurate as possible.
I am attaching a reference image to show the lighting effect I am going for.
Is there such a thing as a IES file that will create this effect with Enscape spot lights? If so, lemme know where I can find a IES file that will do this!
Thanks
David
THATS SO COOL!!
I’m getting some weird black blocks for some reason, and the color got really weird (not supposed to be that yellow) But this gets me in the ballpark of what I’m trying to do. I’ll fiddle around with the settings to get it looking right.
Thanks!
This is awesome. Thanks again for the tip!
Hey @davidhard_1 , those blocky black artifacts were a problem we’ve had in one of our Preview version releases. Did you upgrade to the official release 3.5 version yet?
@Clemens_Musterle No. I am using 3.4 still. Will update. But all I needed to do to get rid of the artifacts was just to restart the render. It fixed itself. No need for me to do anything!
While I have you, is there a way to hide the object I am using to create the effect? I can just photoshop it out, but would like to know if there is a way to exclude things from the rendered view.
