Hi,
My end goal is to set up a scene for V-Ray RT (cuda) using the shadow catcher but my results are not like V-Ray Adv per my results below. What am I doing wrong and why are all the renders different?
Adv render:
RT CPU:
RT CUDA:
Using V-Ray 3.50.04 for 3dsmax 2017.
Thank you in advance!

Thank you for the provided files. Currently there are two issues regarding RT CUDA:
- The Dome light affects the matte surfaces so it would be best not to use them together.
- The Reflection of the matte object is still visible even if “Matte for refl/refr” is checked.
We will update this thread when we have any progress.
Thank you Nikolay for the explanation! Much appreciated!
Can you recommend an alternate approach where I can obtain the shadow alpha and light the scene with HDRI while using a vraycolor in background in RT-Cuda? I tried the following approaches but still not getting similar results between adv and RT-Cuda with the exception of vray sun. But even with V-ray sun, the shadow captured is different.
If there is no solution at this time, when do you expect a release that will fix or develop a work around for these issues?
Thank you again for your help!
