Can Max9 DR spawner co-exist with Max8 DR spawner

We have some projects running in Max8 and some in Max9.

Can I have both Max8 and Max9 DR Spawner running on our nodes at the same time?

I don’t know if this helps answer, but sometimes if I accidentally run the max8 spawner, on the slave, while using max9 on the workstation, it does not work out…

yes you can, but if you are running the DR sapwners they will both have an instance of max running

The problem would be that both instances of 3dsmax will be listening on the same network port, so when a client machine contacts them for DR, one of them will pick the task at random, and it may be the wrong one. On the other hand, you can use the 3dsmax 9 spawner only - it will process 3dsmax 8 jobs too.
