Oh yes, you are right…they are “.tex” files. I wonder if there is a way to convert them to .exr or for Vray to read it?

Pretty sure that .tx and .tex files are just mipmap file in tiff format. You could probably rename them .tx and vray could read them, and if you rename them .tif then photoshop could read them (but you will lose the mipmap info if you save them in Photoshop).

Yes with VRayHDRI.
.tx and .tex files are the same thing. You can use them through the VRayHDRI texture.

Im sorry to bother you but, may I ask if there is a way to stitch these .tex files together so I can scrub the time line making it change the time of day?
You can create an IFL file that lists all images in consecutive order and pick that one in VRayHDRI.
