Re: candlelight

Hi sir nice out put, cant wait the tricks :stuck_out_tongue:

Re: candlelight

very nice indeed

Re: candlelight

how did you do that…share to us bro..hehehe

Re: candlelight

thanks for your reply. at first i tried to do it in 3d but because light has the gradient its really difficult to accomplice therefore. i jsut made a 3d texture with opacity map. thesame map i used for emmisive layer. then i added an additional vray rectangular light. to explain the technique im attaching the screengrab.

Re: candlelight

Another great lesson for all of us Professor! Thanks for sharing with us!

Ok Bienhai(sketchucationforum) has shared kung fu panda, so i used it here to recreate the PANDANGO sa Ilaw- a cultural dance in the Philippines. so this one is called “KUNG FU PANDA-NGO” cheers. hope you like it.

Re: candlelight* Updated with Panda page2

kung fu panda starwars version. No postprocessing pure vray output.

Re: candlelight* Updated with Panda page2

hehehe, nomer, your making that panda show his full potencial, hehehe, very nice renders my friend, btw i like very much that movie. cheers

Re: candlelight* Updated with Panda page2

u said no postprocessing? how u did that blurr on light saber???

Re: candlelight* Updated with Panda page2

thanks teo

Re: candlelight* Updated with Panda page2

same concept as your IES ande. you must have a nice blurry opacity map with nice gradient. the concept was inspired from your opacity maps.

Re: candlelight* Updated with Panda page2

here are the saber texture and clipmap which i did in photoshop.

in order to create the effect. you need create a 2d plane parallel with the saber, then you create a vray link material (im using vray4su) add to the tranparency map the (clipmap)
do another emmisive layer and do the same.
the clipmap should be inverted and be sure to tick the background map. VOILA

Re: candlelight* Updated with Panda page2

this is my way of testing vray. again as much as possible i dont want to do post processing. the post process here is just adding the background behind.
Kwistenbiebel loves this light effect coming in front of the camera. so i did a test using the same concept.
bear with me with this. im enjoying the panda.

this is “The Incredible Panda’s dramatic entry”
