Hi, I have a student license. However, I’m not able to activate it as the network connection always fails. I tried everything I found online, never works. I’m not even using a proxy so I don’t understand the menu…

Of course you mentioned you’ve tried everything but just in case you haven’t already, please also try to add the exceptions detailed in the following article to your firewall (especially if you’re using a third party application for that):
