Check to see if Use Color Texture as Transparency is ticked on under Diffuse. I am also seeing that there is no link between transparency in a SU material and the VRay opacity of the material. On purpose maybe? Doesnt seem to make sense.

What are your settings for the refraction tab? Is the refraction color white? If so could you share a simple model with the material? The vray preview also shows it isn’t transparent. Best,
