I’m doing some test renders with team render and once I start a render I cant cancel/stop the render until it finishes, the UI locks up and is unresponsive until the render is done.

Version: B1 (core 1.7)
Cinema version: CINEMA 4D Studio R18.057 S
Tested in R19.053, using Team Render to Picture Viewer (workstation plus one node, both rendering the same image), and the PV Stop Render button works as expected.
Might be an R18 thing - however, can you confirm if this was a TR render to PV, or if you were using the TR Server to do the rendering?
For having Team Render stop by itself, do remember that only Passes works as a target for now - Noise and Time limits are set for Beta 2 (see the roadmap at https://trello.com/c/C0HeJ3Em/48-team-render)
Just so I understand properly, though, that’s not the original question? The original question was being able to manually stop a render, even if it was set to use a certain number of passes?
Thanks for you reply TomG.
Unfortunately for us it is complicated to know in advance passes needed
It could be useful information, but I think we’ll wait for the “beta 2” before introducing team render in production.
We must be sure of the correct behavior of both the render team and the rendering queue management.
For now we will calculate the different images in parallel…
