Car's headlight.

Hi

This is my first attempt of creating car’s headlight. Something is wrnog there but I cant figure it out. The rendering time is very long,is there any way to reduce it? I turn GI and anti-aliasing off,but I think the bump map is the reason for this slow rendering.

Thanks
S

is that displacement or Bump ?

is that displacement or Bump ?

bump and falloff reflection.

and transparancy ??

no transperancy map.why?

just trying to help ..

i dont see how a question helps…maybe some answers :stuck_out_tongue:

i thought it may be obviuos … Transparet = longer rendertime.
and can you stop quoting … really anoying, its only me and you here !

@natty: :smile:

@samifox:

it´s the bump because the light went throught the bump and also reflect in there many times…and you get nice with reflection over the bump structur.

do you use a standard-material or the checker-material for the bump? my test was bitmap is faster.

with = white (fast fingers)

Do you use glossy refraction? This slows down rendering a lot!

:lol: :lol: :lol:

use max raytrace? :?:

can you post us a scene that we can poke at and prod to figure out the problem?
wow. nice pic cgbox
