very cool dude, can u share the scene?? im lost with caustics, and that file can help me a lot  , btw, how did u animate it? on reactor?

wow percy.. love it

nice percy you should try volumetric caustics !!

thats sweet what did oyu use to simulate the movement

really nice!!

but unfortunatly we can´t see the caustics at the end of the movie..

i would suggest you change the camera position..

cool stuff

WOW! Nice job there percy

thanks all. Ill try and post the scene later today. The funny thing is that other then upping the caustics multiplier ALOT, I think the settings are all default. I wanted to see how the defaults looked. I think they turn out pretty good.

I noticed that at the end you cant see the caustics, and at first it bugged me. but render times weren’t the greatest and it occurred to me that sometimes in life, you dont always get the best view possible, so I left it as it is.

percy

It is perfect!!!

what about render time???

Zuliban, sadly volumetric caustics dont work with vray!
Chris Jackson

Heres the file. I used reactor. Should just be able to hit render.

p.s. Render times weren’t toooo bad for a dual 1.2gig system, but I have no idea how long it took to render out all the frames, I just set it as I went to bed one night.

jack i didnt know… i also have a question if you use hvs exponential the volume lights are gray ,is there a way to make them white ? coz i’ll use them in the scene im working on.

Hi and thanks Percy, very much,
Very lovely stuff!
ps So this is what you told me about (weekend work) right!

hehe, actually no. I finished that sometime last week. Im still working on what I started this weekend. Wont be done rendering for several days still methinks.

percy

Nice work Percy…

I wonder what would happen if you gave it a transluscent/transparent material…

Leo

lol.. Methinks it would still be rendering when Im old and gray. But the scene file is there, so be my guest!

percy

Ummm.. I dont think so Percy …

Dunno if my pc would be able to deal with such a gigantic render… forget about being old and gray I would have the fire department at my doorstep waiting for the CPU to catch fire… :?

Still would like to see it though … maybe there is someone out there with enough guts…

Cheers…

Leo

Hi Percy,

very nice, thanks for sharing
