I am looking for away to make a chain link fence, anyone have ideas on how to do this in Vray? without having to make all the geometry?
Cheap quick way - create a plane and add a chain-link map with an opacity map. Max’s and viz’s architectural textures pack come with a chain-link material with a seperate alpha map.
If you turn of bitmap filtering for the opacity map it should render a bit faster.

Just have a look in the “architectual” sector. There you will find a nice material called “iron net”.
