Chaos Cosmos for Enscape

Hey gang, I currently have the newest version of enscape but I do not have the NEW Chaos Cosmos in my material library? Should I not have this with this version?

Look forward to hearing from someone

Thank you

Jay

Hello,

Currently the Material library is not migrated to Cosmos, only the 3D asset library is migrated.

Best regards,

Ivan

Hopefully it will migrate to the Cosmos library also!

Not all assets have migrated to version 12. I have already sent my request to the support team. Please advise when this situation will be resolved.

Hello @dario_dimauro
If I’m not wrong, this asset is already migrated to Cosmos - link

You’re not wrong, and I appreciate your attention to the response. However, if you look at the situation, the assets are still not appearing because someone in your company has decided to move to Cosmo. I have submitted several support requests, but all the proposed solutions have involved deleting folders or reinstalling the software. Instead of being able to use a product that helps us generate revenue, we are spending time troubleshooting software issues.

I’ve been a user since the beginning of Enscape and have never complained, as the software has helped us present ideas to our clients. However, please bring back all the features of Enscape; this new version is creating more problems than solutions in my case.

Thank you,

ddm

Can you provide demo scene, we will try to reproduce the problem on our side?

I sent it already , do you want me to send you the same file? Where can I upload them?

Why is the migration forced onto users, when obviously the integation process has not been finished?

Missing assets, preset materials that used to be present and now becoming absent, etc.

Hello again,
Could you please try the following steps when you have some time?

  1. Update Enscape to the latest official version.

  2. Stop Cosmos using the “Stop Chaos Cosmos Browser” shortcut from the Start Menu.

  3. Delete the Cosmos database folder:

    C:\Users\<Your_User>\AppData\Local\Chaos\Cosmos\DB

  4. Delete the Cosmos working directory (this will remove all downloaded Cosmos assets). Default location:

    C:\Users\<Your_User>\Documents\Chaos Cosmos

  5. Start Cosmos again using the “Start Chaos Cosmos Browser” shortcut from the Start Menu.

  6. Verify that you are logged in by opening http://localhost:30305/. If you are signed in, you should not see a “Sign In” button — instead, your initials will be displayed in the header.
