Hi everyone,
Chaos Player, Update 2 is now available for download.
This update adds support for Cloud Licensing, allowing you to use Player with your Chaos account login from any location, without a License Server.
We’ve also fixed a couple of bugs and added a few improvements. Here’s the changelog:
New Features
- Added support for Cloud Licensing, allowing to use Player with a Chaos Account from any location without a License Server.
Modified Features
-
Added a
--fit_pan_and_zoom={0,1}flag that fits pan and zoom to the window size or resets them. Unlike the existing--reset_pan_and_zoomflag, which toggles between the “fit” and “reset” states, the new flag allows to force each state specifically. -
The full frame resolution is exported for compositions by default. When adding a new layer, the composition mask is automatically set to the resolution of the newly loaded layer, when it is bigger than the current mask resolution.
-
Added a prompt for unsaved changes to the current project.
-
Added a
--enable_gpu_renderflag that enables OpenGL acceleration and removed the--enable_cpu_render flag.
Bug Fixes
-
Fixed Player UI sometimes appearing distorted. This was caused by incompatibility between the OpenGL drawing acceleration in Player and some video drivers. OpenGL drawing is now disabled by default and can be enabled with
--enable_gpu_renderas a startup flag. -
Fixed wrong encoding of MP4 files when exporting at 100% quality. This prevented some MP4 files exported from Player to be opened in Windows Media Player and didn’t generate a thumbnail for the file on Windows.
